MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission at Saktihouse is to supply environmentally friendly structures to individuals and businesses while preserving an ancient tradition of Javanese architecture and culture. The Joglo and Lumbung houses that we provide are unique, sacred and incredibly beautiful. Some of these structures are more than 200 years old and are made of old growth Teak wood. The internal resonance and calming feeling of these magnificent structures make them ideal for art and music studios, meditation and yoga retreats, or as a lovely home atop that perfect piece of land.

Saktihouse also offers antique panels and doors, teak furniture made from reclaimed old growth teak wood, paintings, Waktuku jewelry, and hand made designer lighting for hotels, restaurants, cafes, wine bars, spas, and homes.

Yoga and Meditation Retreats
If you have an interest in establishing a retreat for yoga or meditaion, Saktihouse can supply you with the structures you need to see your project to fruition.
If antique structures are not what you have in mind, we can supply you with new knock down structures which will bring uniformity to your retreat as well as less construction and servicing time.

Ordering
Once you decide on a structure or multiple structures, Saktihouse will provide you with a contract of terms and conditions. A 50% deposit is required to finalize an order and start the process of preparing the structure in Indonesia for shipping. We highly recommend that you meet with us first to discuss exactly what it is you’re looking to accomplish. Saktihouse uses Skype to consult with potential clients. Shipping
Saktihouse ships from Indonesia using 20’ and 40’ storage containers. Depending on your location the estimated time of arrival is 4-6 weeks. The cost of shipping is included in the price of the structure you purchase. However, once the container arrives at port, the cost of delivering the container and all port clearance fees are not included in the price of the structure. These costs will be provided to you after your order is finalized and we receive your deposit.

Servicing an Antique Teak House
When you have a structure that’s been sitting in a village exposed to the elements for 200 years, it needs to be serviced. Depending on the condition of the teak, a light sanding or grinding is required to expose the luster of the old teak wood. After the fresh surface is exposed you have to figure out what you want to do with it. You can go with the natural color of the teak and just weather proof it using a clear coat or teak oil, you can stain the wood a diferent color, or you can paint the wood, sand it again, and then weather proof it to get a pho finished type of look. Whatever you choose, you will need to weather proof the entire structure with a minimum of 2 coats of clear coat or teak oil. Saktihouse can service the structure you choose before it ships from Indonesia or after it arrives at your desired location if it’s in California. We recommend the later because the products in the U.S. are of a much higher quality than in Indonesia. For any other state in the U.S. or a location outside of the U.S., the structure would have to be serviced by you or your contractor unless you want us to do it in Indonesia.

When old growth teak wood moves from a humid climate to a dryer climate, cracking may occur. Saktihouse recommends you use a wood filler as opposed to trying to glue the crack back together as it will most likely crack again.

Saktihouse is not a contractor or construction company. We only provide the structures with plans and photographs, and servicing of the wood if desired
